The capital of India has a proud full history which created and added lots of attraction to the city. There are lots of places, forts, mosques, modern creations, etc.. Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker are the designers of the New Delhi. It's been the center of many government offices and embassies. The UNESCO added The Qutub Minar, Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb to World Heritage sites.
Qutab-ud-din Aibak built the Quatub Minar after he defeated Delhi's last Hindu Kingdom. It has five distinct storeys. The red sandstones are used for first three storeys. Marble and sandstone used for the fourth and fifth floors. The Quwwat-UL-Islam Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India situated at the foot of the tower.
It is the living memories of the soldiers who fought and died in the first world war. They were part of the British army. Edward Lutyens is the constructor of the India gate, It took around 10 years to complete the historical gate which is having 42 meters of height. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the red fort in the 17th century. Red fort is a must see destination in Delhi, a masterpiece of architecture. Red Fort is located on the bank of Yamuna. The largest mosque in India is situated in Delhi. It was constructed between 1644 and 1658 during the period of Shah Jahan. It took six years to complete the work with 5000 workers. It will revel the glorious days of Muslim rulers.
Fariborz Sahba is the designer of the lotus temple which is built in the shape of a half opened lotus flower. It is also known as in the name of Bahai Temple. The temple is made of marble, sand, cement and dolomite. Lotus Temple is surrounded by a pool.
