Wayanad possess prideful history in Kerala. It is located in the Western Ghats share with the border of Karnataka and Thamilnadu. It is the 12th district in Kerala formed in 1980. Previously it has named as Mayanadu later comes to the present name Wayanad. It covers the areas of 2132 km2. It consists of 3 taluks such as Mananthavady, Sulthan Bathery and Vythiri.
